My name is Kathryn Nino Lamana, but everyone calls me Kat! I am 25 years old, and I was born in Tbilisi, Georgia (NOT the state, the country) and immigrated to America when I was very young. I have a BFA in Photography/Computer Imagery. After graduating in 2016, I began working for a National Geographic photographer. In addition, I earned my TEFL certificate in order to create an opportunity for myself to help children and teach all over the world. I then decided to move to Beijing, China as an English Teacher so I would have more opportunity to travel. At this time, I began backpacking all over Asia! I've been to almost every country in Asia, and I plan on seeing them all some day. I have lots of international experience with being and living abroad.

I was most recently serving in The Peace Corps, living in The Republic of Georgia, where I was working on English Education, Women's Empowerment, and Youth Development in small rural/vulnerable communities. I am looking to work with organizations such as UNHCR in the field of photojournalism, education, and humanitarian aid. In the future, I hope to help people in vulnerable areas impacted by war.
